The Solutions Manager is responsible for overseeing the creation and implementation of new technology solutions, guiding them from initial concept to full adoption. This role involves working closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver technology capabilities that align with the company’s three-year strategic goals. The Solutions Manager leads a team of product owners, ensuring the successful launch of solutions that provide value to both customers and the organization.
Leadership and Team Development:
- Lead and manage a team of 2-3 product owners handling 6-10 technology products.
- Collaborate with Human Resources to build high-performing teams with diverse skill sets and perspectives.
- Work with the Learning and Development team to create resources that enhance product development capabilities.
- Mentor and coach team members to foster trust, credibility, and future leadership growth.
Strategic Roadmap and Expertise:
- Support senior IT leadership in defining the technology roadmap.
- Identify relevant technology trends and integrate them into current and future business solutions.
- Advise on the application of technology to improve business processes.
Solution Design and Delivery:
- Establish a solution design process that encourages effective collaboration across teams and results in market-ready products.
- Ensure that solutions are secure, resilient, scalable, and adhere to architectural best practices.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including the Director of IT Operations, Senior Manager of Enterprise Solutions, Enterprise Architect, and PMO to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Stakeholder Management:
- Cultivate and manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Work with the VP of IT to advance a vision for a fully digital organization.
- Develop solutions that streamline and improve business processes.
Technology Adoption and Innovation:
- Act as a subject matter expert on internal business processes, supporting the VP of IT's strategic plan.
- Identify opportunities for digitalization of business processes.
- Lead ideation sessions to explore new solution opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong verbal communication skills with experience in collaborating across teams.
- Excellent writing and presentation abilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with experience in researching and resolving complex issues.
- Experience with enterprise IT solutions such as ERP, CRM, MES, WMS, etc.
- Proven project management experience in technology solutions.
- 5-10 years of experience managing software/hardware products or similar technology roles.
- 2-3 years of experience leading high-performing teams.
- 2-3 years as a Product Owner.
- Ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
